My background is in fine art and graphic design, but my true medium is listening. I believe that getting a tattoo is a transition in itself—you leave the studio different than when you arrived.
Whether you are marking a major life shift—like a divorce, a recovery, or a new identity—or simply celebrating a 25-year friendship, I give every piece the same rigorous attention. No story is too small.
The Background
I earned my BFA with Honours from the Alberta University of the Arts, but it was my years in the graphic design industry that taught me my most valuable skill: Translation.
There are infinite ways to render a single subject. A hawk can be predatory, dormant, or skeletal. My role is to isolate your specific vision from the thousands of possibilities.
My process combines this specific inquiry with technical rigor. Whether it is a wing, a paw, or a leaf, I ensure the subject is anatomically correct, while letting your body dictate the composition. The art must fit the anatomy, not the other way around.
The Sanctuary
I know that traditional tattoo shops can be loud and overstimulating. I couldn't do my best work there, and I knew many of my clients couldn't relax there either.
